YES! There's no school for me on friday. Can anyone say 3 day weekend? I can. The only downside is that I start my job on Friday, so that ruins my weekend of fun. But maybe I'll go to Palm springs. It's not as fun as Hollywood, but it's free (minus the cost of gas...). I'm definately looking forward to this weekend. And an update on school for everyone; I have a 4.0 with 100% attendance (attendance is looked at very highly at my school). And I've started my fuel and emissions class, and I'm top of my class so far. We've taken 3 tests so far, and I've gotten 20/20, 9/10, and 10/10 respectively. So I'm looking at another student of the phase (I got one for my last class, automatic transmissions). If anyone has any questions about cars, feel free to ask...

Ok, for some reason I can't get on AIM. It won't log on or anything, and it's starting to piss me off. I uninstalled it so that I could reinstall it, but the only thing is that now I can't get on the AIM website either. So now I'm running a bunch of antivirus crap to see if that's the problem. If that doesn't work I'm going to cycle my modem. Anyway, wish me luck...

I woke up this morning and decided to do something different. I decided to hop in my car and drive to Hollywood. I had a really good time there. First, I just walked up and down Hollywood Blvd. Then I decided to see a movie. I wanted to go to Grauman's Chinese Theater, but the only movie they were showing today was XXX2 (It's only one screen there). So I went to the other half of the theater, Mann's Chinese 6 (Technically a different theater, but it's basically the newer half of it). So I saw Guess Who, it was pretty good, but I wouldn't want to see it again. After the movie I walked around some more and I found a good place to view the Hollywood Sign. It was pretty cool, but smaller than I thought. Then that's when the real fun started. A bunch of bible pushers from Kansas came to protest homosexuality. I decided to challenge them to a battle of wits, turned out they were unarmed (LOL). I started talking to this woman and telling her why everything she said was wrong, and she said she didn't have to listen to a child. This obviously pissed me off, as I am 19, have my own apartment, car, bills, etc. So then I asked how am I a child, and she said, "If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck..." and I started cracking up. It was the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. So then I keep talking to her and when she realized that she wasn't going to outsmart me, she started singing like little kids do so that she could ignore me and not listen. And I'm the child.... If it wasn't for the cops there protecting them, they would have gotten FUCKED up. In case you guys don't know, there's a good population of gays in Hollywood (everyother car in West Hollywood is a Miata). My proudest argument was that I told her that homosexuality wasn't one of the 7 deadly sins, but gluttany was. At that point everyone there started laughing and applauding. The thing that confuses me the most, was that they were from kansas, and as everyone knows kansas and rainbows go hand in hand. Anyway, it was a fun day.

My life is so awesome right now! This has been the best week ever. Where do I begin? First the movie shoot was awesome, and the main actress was Jerri Manthey from survivor! She is incredibly hot! The movie is about a woman who had a really bad childhood due to an abusive father, and she kills men as an adult. Letter I wrote to local hyundai dealership after they tried to screw me over...

To whom it may concern,
I came into your dealership several times for service last week. I first went in on Tuesday to have some problems looked at on my Hyundai Elantra. I talked to Dan Trimmer he told me that they were too busy to look at my car that day (which I completely understood), but when I asked if I could make an appointment he told me that everything was done on a first come, first serve basis. He then told me to call him the next day to see if they were busy. I called the next day and left a message, and he never called me back to let me know if I could come in.
So Thursday I came in and spoke to Aoni Jackson whom told me that they were too busy that day, but he let me make an appointment for the next day (Friday). I came in on Friday and dropped off my car to take care of a defective lock (it had been replaced by a dealership in michigan about 6 months ago, but has since stopped working), and to have my computer reflashed per technical service bulletin #04-36-004. When I returned to get my car, Aoni informed me that the bulletin I was referring to was only for automatic transaxle equipped cars (I have a 5-speed manual), and even if the bulletin applied to my car he wouldn't be able to do the reflash due to an aftermarket air induction system that I have installed on my engine. He also informed me that I might have to pay for the lock to be replaced, once the cause of failure was determined (implying that if the dealership that did the work in michigan installed the lock wrong that I would have to pay for it to be repaired).
After hearing this disheartening news, I talked to employees of HMA (Hyundai Motor America) to see if the information I received was correct. First, the technical service bulletin that I referred to is for cars with the manual transaxle. Also, according to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/magnusonmoss.htm this is a link to the act in it's entirety), that the work would have to be done under warranty because the aftermarket intake did not cause the problem, therefor it did not void the warranty. Second, the defective lock would be covered under warranty, whether the original dealership installed it wrong or not.
When I called Aoni today to tell inform him that I would be taking my car to a different dealership for service from now on, he didn't seem to care. He didn't ask my why I decided this, or ask me what he could have done differently to keep my business. I am very disappointed in how my business doesn't seem to matter to your dealership. I would appreciate a response informing me of how you plan to correct this in the future so that your future customers will not be as dissapointed in your dealership as I currently am.
